Denver no match for the Big 3
It was practically over before it started for the Denver Nuggets in Boston. Denver never led and trailed by over 40 points during the third quarter. The new big three in Boston showed up once again with Paul Pierce putting up a game high 26 points, Ray Allen added 22 points and 6 assists, and Kevin Garnett added his third double double with 23 points and 13 rebounds.
The first half was something Celtic fans have not seen since the days of Bird, McHale, and Parish. The Celtics overpowered the Nuggets by shooting an incredible 72 percent. Garnett had his double double sealed up by the half and the only category the Nuggets had a higher number in was turnovers. This is a game they will want to forget.
The Celtics will host the Atlanta Hawks on Friday and travel to New Jersey to take on te Nets Saturday evening. The Hawks are coming off a big win against the Phoenix Suns this evening so they should be able to provide more of a challenge to the new look green and white.
